President’s Report 2026
BREAKFAST WITH SANTA FOUNDATION
President’s Report 2026
In keeping with our Vision to be a portal of hope to the enhancement to a child’s quality of life, in 2025 we furthered our mandate of offering nutritional solutions to childhood hunger while closely observing our Mission Statement:
“To positively impact the lives of children in distress in our community.”
The impact of our programs was evident and unquestionably successful having reached more children going to school hungry with the addition of a fifth school added to the list of schools we support. This achievement was supported by a Grant from the City of Mississauga.
The Backpack 4 Kids Program was sponsored by Amazon.com with five hundred backpacks and school supplies received. Few additional donations enabled us to donate 560 backpacks, in total, to children in under-resourced families.
Interestingly our Coats 4 Kids Program gave us a good insight into the ever-revolving struggles of families in our communities. Donations of new Winter attire were less than expected however, donations of used coats were abundant but considerably less than previous years.
We learned families, due to the negative financial hardship they experience, are repairing coats, wearing them down to the last threads thus not being able to donate.
Under Ilda’s Room Program we received a Grant from the Mississauga Foundation for Diapers 4 Kids. It was very rewarding to be able to help over 180 children.
The star of the Christmas Season, our “A Morning with Santa Christmas” Breakfasts was as magical as it could ever been, against the backdrop of snowy rolling hills and the laughter of wide-eyed beautiful children.
Becoming a Charity Member of OLG Rama Gaming House, Mississauga has afforded us the opportunity to acquire additional funding for all of our five programs.
The two fundraising events we hosted were astonishingly successful.
Alice in Braeland brought to life the reverie of a fantasy.
Harvest of Hope celebrated our 40th year of caring and giving in our communities.
There were lessons learned, challenges as the result of a frail global economy, over-taxed resources, personal health struggles, and the uncertainty of an ever-changing world. But, through it all, one thing stayed steadfast, our love and commitment to help hungry children in our communities.
To our partners, sponsors, donors, supporters and volunteers my heartfelt and grateful THANK YOU for the passion and devotion you so generously grant us.
A new year is on the horizon with many roads to be travelled, often unpaved and rough. If we find a stone in our shoe, we will carefully remove it making the arrival at our destination even sweeter.
It is an honour to be able to devote my time in giving back with so many outstandingly generous and kind human beings. THANK YOU!
With gratitude.
